After 30 plus years…In a new minister search!

Derwood Smith, our pulpit minister of 36 years, retired in the summer of 2017.  Currently, the congregation is in search of a new minister to work in a full-time pastoral capacity.  The congregation is working with a well-established consulting group to assist our leadership and members in finding just the right minister to lead our congregation into the future. In the interim, our capable brethren are delivering our weekly messages to keep us encouraged and inspired as we continue to “Love like Jesus and to teach each other to do the same.”

In addition, all of our programs, such as, “Leaning on Jesus and Each Other” 5:00 p.m. Sunday services, 50 Plus, Prison Ministry, Red Hatters, our annual August Clothing Drive, Holiday Gift Card Give-Away and Angel Tree Program,  and our “Feed My Sheep” food cards remain active resources for our members and community. As always, our doors remain open to all!

The Ministry of Reconciliation – Audio
Sunday, February 16, 2014 2:00 AM
For us, reconciliation means that the offending person tries to calm the anger of the offended person. This is what pagan sacrifice accomplished–to appease an angry god. But Paul turns this concept around. God, whom we offended by our sin, reaches out to us in love and reconciles us to Himself. This is incredible love.

The Letter to the Romans – Audio
Sunday, January 26, 2014 2:00 AM
Paul’s letter to the Romans is the greatest writing ever produced in the Christian church. The righteousness of God is God’s faithfulness to His covenant with Abraham which stated that God would use Israel to bless all nations. Jesus, as Israel’s Messiah, now becomes God’s agent in carrying out this task and justification is through the faithfulness of Jesus Christ. Ultimately, God will renew and restore His creation and raise the dead. Nothing will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.
